Antique Carved Ivory Man with a Boy Selling Tortoise
This is a wonderfully carved pre-ban fine ivory circa early to mid 1900s.
Spectacularly hand carved man with child; 5" high, 2" width ...wonderful detail. A fabulous piece is in excellent vintage condition...beautifully carved...wonderful pronounced cross hatched grain...nice patina...normal age cracks. This piece is marked with writing on the back. This piece came from an estate collection of rare and exotic ethnographic carvings and art works. Please note this piece is made from pre-ban ivory, legally imported into the U. S. before the ban.
